Different varieties, different results

In the morning, I've sowed some Kobis seeds (around 20) from KK Cross variety. This variety is good for Tropics (yang beriklim tropika dan khatulistiwa) like in malaysia and Fiji almost same weather except in Fiji we have cool season from June till Sept normally. Somehow from my experience walaupun kobis ni best for Tropics, tapi result from planting during cool season and hot season is not same. last year i've tried to plant kobis throughout the year. cool season memang hasil was very good - big kobis, healthy and grow faster, somehow those planted during hot season will not grow as good as cool season-kobisnya smaller (less than 1/2 kg), the growth was slower and cukup makan jer.

I never plant any cabbages before (in malaysia) malah tak pernah berkebun pun, just busy with office life 9-6, so my view tak semestinya correct.. but i know most of the cabbage supplies from cameron highlands takpun yang import from overseas. but if we try to plant at home (in malaysia), i think it would not deliver as good, as big, as healthy as those that we can get from Cameron. Because cabbage is most suitable for cool weather. Another variety, Racer Drumhear the called - yang nih they said, maturity ealier than other variety (within 4 months) and can produce up to 4 kg . I've tried during cool and hot season. The harvests were very small and not as healthy as another variety. And those i've planted this year during cool season, it doesnt look like that they'll deliver, still left behind....

 As comparison to KK, i've planted  on  the same day - 21/5/12, now look much different now,

Notice that the Race Drumhead's is not even close to folding stage while KK has started folding now. So the lesson for me, not to plant drumhead anymore- just wasting space and effort. At least by experimenting we would know the result, if we never try we would never know..
