Kacang Buncis

Salah satu sayuran yang menjadi kemestian untuk ditanam dimusim yang lebih sejuk adalah kacang buncis. Namun kali nie tak tanam banyak kerana agak kelewatan. 

Yang sedang berbuah kini ditanam dalam 2 minggu sebelum bersalinkan Arissa...alhamdulillah setelah hampir 2 bulan mula berhasil..

 Kacang yang agak panjang.

 Dek kerana kesibukan dengan baby kecik..kelewatan menuai..banyak jugak yang menjadi matang  sebelum dituai...

 Sebanyak ini sahajalah kacang buncis yang ditanam..

Yang pertama kali dituai..masak dengan sayuran lain ala sayur campur..

Kalau diikutkan cuaca kat Fiji kacang buncis tak berbunga bila cuaca panas..memerlukan suhuh dibawah 24 degree untuk berbunga dan  berbuah..kalau kat  M'sia rasanya ade jugak rakan2 yang menanam walaupun cuaca agak panas dan ade yang berhasil alhamdulillah..

Finally....

On 24th June I've planted the french beans/ snap beans or Kacang Buncis melayunya. Now already 2 and half months, lamanya.. My last entry about kacang buncis was on 6th Aug, when the beans started flowering. But no sign of fruit for for long time. The weather changes from cold to hot, hot to cold makes the fruiting didn't happen on time. I realised bean family are sensitive to weather, french bean would not fruiting during hot weather, while long bean needs hot weather to produce fruits. I've experienced both situations, and alhmdulillah it makes me understand better about vegetable plants especially when I started to write about them in blog.

After experiencing hot weather since Eid due to the low pressure of air system, then last week for few days we had rain, and for the last 2 days the weather suddenly became very cold (below 24 degrees). What a blessing, my french beans also started to produce fruits. If it's not because of the cold days, I guess the french beans would ends up with sad ending and 'not a written rezq' for us. Indeed He's a good Provider, He answered my prayers and eased my worries..

Hopefully will be good ending too, inshaallah...

Kacang Buncis or French Bean

Assalamualaikum,

The French beans or Kacang buncis i've planted 3 months ago now didn't  produce anymore  fruit. look like they are expiring.

So i removed all the plants and started to clear the garden beds so that can be used to plant another vegetable. not sure yet what to plant, perhaps cabbages or tomato or some cucumbers. we'll see.









And on the other side of the garden, i've planted some long beans, somehow after sometimes i realised that due to the weather which is not suitable for them,they didnt grow well. not even flowering.

So i've removed all the long bean plants. put some water to soften the soil in order to remake the garden bed.

Then, on 24th June when the bed ready, i've sowed some french bean seeds to replace the long beans. 

 

Now, after a week the seeds split open and new plants formed.
