The Best Mango In Town

Saturday, we call it marketing day where we (or only Mr. Abu Aidan) would go to market to buy some additional vegetables or fruits or onions or spices or anything that got to do with cooking/ kitchen stock for a week. Those vegetables that we already have in the garden, save some of our kitchen expenses. Anyway still trying to minimize our buying from market with our home kitchen gardening. Since we don't have much local fruits planted in our compound, we have to get it outside during their season. And now is mango season, he got some for us, the best one...

3  big mangoes that only cost $1.00 (RM1.60), the shapes more or less look like apple mango.

The most ripe - weighted 400g, bigger than the size of apple mango I've seen in Malaysia before.

Separated from seed -cut into 3 parts

The flesh - fat, big & thick

Very thin seed inside - less than quarter of half fleshes

 Skin removed

With some asam boi sprinkled- tasty and sweet.

This variety we call it Agriculture Hybrid Mango, the best in town - big, fat, thin seed and fleshy.

  3. The mango is one of my favourite fruits, those from the Indian subcontinent being the best. Your description of the Fijian mangoes makes me salivate :) Wish I can try it. Btw, did you export the asam boi from Malaysia? I don't believe that over there, there are into this too as it is so typically Malaysian.
