You Still Not Yet Successful in Planting Bendi

Itulah what he said to me a few months ago when my okras ended like this,

Small plants with little fruits - itulah kacang bendi yang ditanam 4 months ago.

At another location also same thing,
pokok2 yang kurus, kecil buahnya juga kecil dan sedikit

While the one that tumbuh sendiri (benih dibawa air masa hujan) was much..much..better
Healthier and bigger plant with more fruits

So his words macam suatu cabaran to me to do better, i planted again some bendi one and half month ago, inilah resultnya so far,
Pokok yang kelihatan besar sebenarnya adalah lebih dekat dgn pokok2 lain yang lebih tinggi disebelahnya- much bigger and healthier, sedangkan pokok2 yang sebelah atas  kelihatan much smaller.walaupun jauh dari shade..

Trying to figure out, mungkin bendi lebih subur ditempat agak terlindung dari menerima direct sun.

Not yet give up with bendi, somehow want to see from different angles, I asked him to plant some bendi yesterday at different place, can't wait to whether his bendi will be better than mine or same..heheh..

  1. Maize is the best indicator in determining the soil fertility. You can do a simple experiment by planting maizes all around the place. See which one grow better which also indicates the area is ok to plant other crops. While the one that didn't grow well, you just need to add more compost on it.

  2. I am new at planting bendi, but my plants seem a bit slow growing too in the direct sun. Maybe not enough fertiliser too.
